Gunhild Way

A Tailored Family Home Renovation

Managing a Cambridge
Family Home Renovation

We were delighted to be selected to work on the renovation of 45 Gunhild Way, a two-storey semi-detached family house, where planning approval for ground and first-floor extensions had already been secured. Commissioned to manage the building control phase, fine-tune the detailed interior design, and guide the project to tender, we had to ensure we provided hands-on service every step of the way.

Practicality Meets Stunning Design Aesthetic

The renovation aimed to create a large, open-plan kitchen, an adaptable office space that could also serve as a guest room, and modernise all bedrooms, bathrooms, and the laundry room. With an extensive list of requirements, we the details were carefully considered, and made sure the project was completed with practical, functional finishes.

Managing Client Expectations and Delivering Results

The client had exacting standards, particularly when it came to the interior design part of the project. To address their concerns, we produced multiple CGIs, including for the laundry space, so they could visualise what the final outcome would look like upon completion. Despite the challenges, we found a suitable builder and successfully moved the project to the construction phase, ensuring the client’s needs were met every step of the way.
