South Bank Road
South Bank Road HMO Regeneration
The background
Transforming a run-down
house into a modern HMO
Once a neglected, mid-terraced property, this house had become a burden on South Bank Road, overshadowing the area’s family-friendly charm. We were tasked with revitalising it into a high-quality 6-bedroom HMO.

The brief
The project included a full back-to-brick strip-out, re-building the floors and roof, and designing two en-suites and two shared bathrooms. With rear and dormer extensions, the modern, clean industrial interiors now accommodate local young professionals and students.

The challenges
Challenges and Solutions
The property’s poor reputation and dilapidated condition required a complete transformation, and we were thrilled at the opportunity to take the lead. Our design and renovation restored the house itself and helped take the community back to its former glory. Locals welcomed the change, recognising the value of a carefully planned HMO that brought positive new residents to the street, which was, ultimately, what we wanted to achieve upon project completion.
